He was born Aug 11. [Alcorn Family History]
For a few years he owned the Wallaceville Flour Mill which he bought from heirs of James Peebles. He was rather stocky and medium height and weighed about 165 lbs. His hair was reddish in color (baldheaded in later years) and had white whiskers at the last. He was a prosperous farmer.
