General Notes: Husband - William Cunningham

His father and mother both died while he was young, and he was left to the care of an aunt who kept a linen store. William was for most of the time employed in the store, and in the fairs which were then the principal marts for the exchange of this class of merchandise. He came to America in 1790, and settled in Chester County, Pennsylvania. He was married there and he and his wife removed to the Kishacoquillas valley, where for several years he was engaged in farming. In 1814, he removed with his family to a farm above Lewistown, where he died.

He was born at Ballimony, county Antrim, Ireland. Some time in early manhood, about the year 1790, he emigrated to America, settling in Chester County, Pennsylvania, where he worked at his trade of weaving. [HWC 1906 iii, 341]

He and his wife were the parents of six children.

General Notes: Wife - Mary Hill

She was born on Magee Island, lying in the channel between Scotland and Ireland, near the coast of the latter.

Her parents and brother removed (from Chester County, Pennsylvania?) to Marietta, Ohio.
