General Notes: Husband - William Cummins
He served as an Indian scout along the Allegheny river in Pennsylvania.
After being married, he purchased land on Two-lick [creek], and built a gristmill near the site of Upper Two-lick mills, which he sold to Mr. J. Agey, and removed to another homestead in 1806, where he later died.
In 1806 he purchased of Robert Elder a tract of land on Crooked creek, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, containing about 1,200 acres, and took immediate possession thereof. On this Elder had made an improvement and built a house and two barns, one of which was still in use in 1880, in pretty good condition, having been built most probably some time early in the decade of 1780.
