The old Coulson homestead was his chosen home until he was thirty years of age, when he moved to his own farm in Amwell Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, where he engaged in farming and stock raising until 1907, when he came to Washington, where he was connected officially with the Washington County Fire Insurance Company. He retained the ownership of his farm of 142 acres, in Amwell Township and was interested financially in other enterprises.
