General Notes: Husband - Washington Righter

He was by trade a tanner, and became one of the pioneer lumber dealers of the Susquehanna Valley, Pennsylvania. In 1827 he removed from Chester County to Columbia, where he engaged in the lumber trade. For four years, 1843-46, he resided in Lancaster, serving during that period as clerk of the Orphans' Court.
