General Notes: Husband - John C. Beale
He was born in Burrell township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he was educated in the common schools, and in early life learned the business of a butcher. For five years he held the office of justice of the peace, and during the entire period of his incumbency never had a decision reversed by the higher courts. In the sphere of politics he always affiliated with the Democratic party. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church.
