The ancestors of the Coshey family were originally French, and it he who emigrated to America from France and settled at Millersdale, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He was unfortunate enough to have been killed by the falling of a tree while engaged in clearing timber land in the vicinity of Westmoreland County.
