Cecil Co, MD

He was a large land owner, active in civic and church affairs. He "lived on the road running from Cowantown to Kimbleville, just north of where it crosses the telegraph road to Newark."
He was a leading elder in the Rock Presbyterian church.

His son, Rev. Joseph Alexander (Princeton, 1760) became prominent in Maryland and the Carolinas.
