General Notes: Husband - Abner Conner
He and his brothers, George, Simon and Samuel, were among the earliest settlers in the vicinity of the Cherry Tree, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. They ran some of the early lumber rafts.
General Notes: Wife - Elizabeth Harbridge
In the winter of 1830, while the snow was over two feet, the house of Abner Conner caught fire in the night, while the only occupants were Mrs. Conner and her two little children. She had only time to grasp her little ones and escape in her night clothing to the next neighbor, a distance of over half a mile. She carried her children all that lonely way, and fainted as she reached the door. She lived to a good old age.
