General Notes: Husband - Isaac McCoy
He was second in order of birth in the family, and spent the days of his boyhood and youth in Clarion borough, Clarion County, Pennsylvania, and obtained a good practical education in the borough schools. Learning the blacksmith's trade, he successfully followed that pursuit for over forty years, and he also engaged to some extent in lumber, but gave the greater part of his time and attention to farming. He was the owner of a valuable farm of 105 acres in Beaver township, which he had under high cultivation and improved with good and substantial buildings.
For six years he was in Missouri, and there was married in 1864. [GPHAV, 1014]
