Parker's Landing, Armstrong Co, PA - a dentist
He was reared at Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he received his education in the public schools and high school. After leaving school he assisted his father in the store until 1874, when he began the study of dentistry with Dr. Z. L. Waugaman, a prominent dentist of that place. In 1875 he formed a partnership with Dr. Boden, which continued until 1876, when he moved to Parker City, where he continued in the practice of dentistry. He was also engaged in the oil business for several years, at the end of which time he withdrew, giving his entire attention to dentistry.
He was a strong democrat and was a member of the county democratic committee for some years. He was a member and an elder of the Lutheran church, and was also a trustee of his church for some years. He was a member of the Order of Solon, and E. A. U.
