He owned the farm of 230 acres where he lived, and two of 160 acres each in Hanover township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, where his sons Robert A. and John M. resided. All the family were members of the United Presbyterian church, and Mr. Gorsuch was an elder in the Hanover church. He was a Republican in politics, and a warm advocate of the principles of prohibition.
