General Notes: Husband - Clifford Cooper

He was born in Jackson Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, and after receiving his preparatory education in the local schools entered the Cochranton high school. His higher training was obtained in the University of Pittsburgh, from the medical department of which institution he was graduated in June, 1905, with the degree of M. D. He followed his course with a year's experience as intern in the Presbyterian Hospital, at North Pittsburgh, and in August, 1906, opened an office at Cooperstown, where he engaged in general practice until December, 1917, spending the following year in Eastern postgraduate schools in preparation for work at Titusville, where his practice was limited to diseases of the eye, ear, nose and throat. While at Cooperstown, besides attending to a general practice which reached large proportions, he did special postgraduate work in the study of the eye, ear, nose and throat which aided him greatly in the care of his patients.
Dr. Cooper allied himself with the professional organizations of recognized standing, holding membership in the County and State Medical Societies and the American Medical Association, and fraternally he was especially interested in the Masonic bodies, affiliating with blue lodge, chapter, commandery and consistory, being a thirty-second-degree Scottish Rite Mason. His religious connection was with the Presbyterian Church.
