General Notes: Husband - John Crill

In the spring of 1806 he came to Mercer County, PA, and bought land in Findley Township. In the fall of the same year he brought his family to the county. They came by team, and stopped at the old Herrington Hotel in Mercer long enough for Mrs. Crill to bake a quantity of bread. They slept the first night on their farm in the wagon-bed, and the next day erected a log cabin. [HMC 1888, 957]
