General Notes: Husband - Joseph Walker

He grew to manhood in Connecticut, later in life moved to Erie County, Pennsylvania, where he died aged eighty-five years. He enlisted in the Revolutionary army and served from the beginning until the ending of the War for Independence. He was associated with the command of General Lafayette and for a time served on his staff. After his marriage and birth of some of his children he moved to Remsen, Oneida County, New York, and in 1816 settled at Edinboro, Erie County, Pennsylvania. He there purchased a tract of 100 acres, on which he resided until his death. He was an ardent Whig in politics and was one of the leaders of that party in his county.
