General Notes: Husband - Howard M. West
He was educated in the public schools of Franklin Township and Prospect Academy, Butler County, Pennsylvania. His first position was with the Prospect Creamery Company, of which his father was owner, and where he remained four years. He was with the Standard Steel Car Company, Butler, for one and one-half years, and with the Forged Steel Wheel Company for fourteen years. In 1921 he established a bakery in Butler. He employed several people. His plant is located at 415 West Jefferson Street.
Mr. West was a member of the Rotary Club, the Y. M. C. A., Board of Commerce, and the Butler Auto Club, of which he was president in 1925. Politically he was a Democrat and he and Mrs. West were members of the First English Lutheran Church.
