General Notes: Husband - Timothy Connor
He was born in Ireland and immigrated to America in youth, settled at Elizabethtown, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He enlisted in the Continental army in 1776 and served throughout the Revolutionary war. He and a fellow soldier, Bernard McGuire, were captured at Gen. Montgomery's attack on Quebec and subsequently escaped by leaping from a high wall down into a large snow-drift. Some time after 1795 he came to Derry township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he patented a large tract of land.
