General Notes: Husband - Cornelius Conner, Sr.
He and three sons, Cornelius, John and William, served in the American army in the war for independence.
He was a sergeant in Capt. Benjamin Harrigon's company, in the 13th Virginia regiment, during the Revolution, under Col. William Russell. The Conners were also noted Indian fighters. After the Revolution the family settled in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, at the same time and in the same neighborhood with the Dents, Craigs and Nevilles, who were among the first settlers of the city of Pittsburgh.
