General Notes: Husband - William Jackman


He and his wife were born in County Cavan (same source: County Carlow), Ireland, and emigrated to America in 1789. They settled on a large tract of land in East Pike Run township, Washington County, Pennsylvania.

He landed with his family in America in 1787.
He came from Baltimore, Maryland, by wagon and settled in Washington County, Pennsylvania, near Brownsville, where he purchased a farm of forty acres, upon which he lived until his death.

Besides the children listed, there were four who died in infancy.
