General Notes: Husband - William Thompson

He was of Scotch-Irish descent.
He started out in life and went to lumbering and boatbuilding on the Clarion River. He was married in 1847 and in the following year came to Farmington township, Clarion County, where his parents had settled nearly twenty years earlier. He and his wife had a family of eleven children, seven of whom were still living in 1887. He was a firm Democrat, and for three years he was one of the county auditors.

He resided at Thompson's Eddy, on the river, in Clarion County, Pennsylvania, until 1865, then moved to Scotch Hill, where he died. He was a lumberman and farmer.
