General Notes: Husband - Isaac C. Ailes
He was born in East Pike Run township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and attended the home schools during his boyhood, afterward taking charge of the home place.
He was a stanch member of the Republican party, and served his township for some years as township auditor. He was president of the California National Bank beginning from its first organization, August 6, 1891. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, giving it liberal support, and was Sunday-school superintendent at the Union schoolhouse near the home place.
