General Notes: Husband - John Coleman


He made farming his vocation, living on a part of the old family homestead in Conemaugh township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. He fought as a soldier during the War of 1812, and was quite a prominent man in his township during his day.

Born in 1771, he was said to be the first white child born in what was afterward Conemaugh township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. [HIC 1880, 360] Different source differ considerably about dates of birth in this family.
