General Notes: Husband - Archibald Coleman


He served as a soldier in the War of 1812.
He became an extensive land owner and farmer in his native township, owning a tract of over five hundred acres there, upon which he made improvements and spent all his life.
In politics he was a Whig and a Republican in turn, and in religious connection he belonged to the United Presbyterian Church, of which he was a leading member, serving as one of the ruling elders.
