General Notes: Husband - James Homer Williams

---

He was born at Marion Center, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, and had the advantages afforded by the common schools, as well as a careful business training under the guidance of his father. He had ample opportunity to become familiar with agriculture as well as lumbering and sawmilling. In 1894 he purchased a general store at Cloe, to which he devoted his attention, operating also a coal bank in the vicinity and selling the output to the local trade. His home was on part of his father's old mill property.
