General Notes: Husband - David L. Aiken
He was educated in the common schools, at Edinboro State Normal, and at Duff's Commercial College, graduating from the latter institution in 1884. The following year he came to Butler, Pennsylvania, and subsequently embarked in general merchandising, as a member of the firm of Aiken & Campbell. He was a member of Company E, Fifteenth Regiment, N. G. P., and served with his company in the Homestead riots. Politically, he was a Republican, was a member of the United Presbyterian church, and was connected with the I. O. O. F., K. of P., and the K. O. T. M.
