General Notes: Husband - William Cochran
He was born in what is now Boggs township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, where he followed farming and teaching. The war issues of 1861 changed him to a republican in politics, while in religion he was a united presbyterian, and served for years as elder in one of the churches of that denomination. He was an unassuming man, who acquired considerable property, served continuously as school director and in other township offices.
He and his wife had eleven children, six sons and five daughters, of whom eight were living in 1891.
