General Notes: Husband - David Minis

---

He was born in Beaver, Pennsylvania, attended the common schools, was graduated from Jefferson College, studied medicine and was graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. He practiced his profession in Beaver until 1861, when he enlisted in the 48th Regiment of Cavalry, and was appointed surgeon of the regiment. He was on detached service, and was at the battle of Roanoke Island. He died from the effects of exposure while in the service.
