He and his wife moved from Pennsylvania to Iowa where he died after 1870, possibly at Davenport, Iowa, where he was last enumerated in the U.S. census. His wife and several of her children relocated from Iowa to Colorado. She was last known to be living at Cripple Creek, Tuller County, Colorado, in 1900.
