General Notes: Husband - James M. Coulter

---

He was educated at Harrisville, Mercer County, PA; Beaver Academy and Pine Grove Normal School, and for several years engaged in teaching district schools in Mercer County and adjoining counties in Pennsylvania, and in Pike County, Ohio. He also taught vocal and instrumental music, and, for several years, was engaged in farming. In 1863 he enlisted in Company C, One Hundred and Fiftieth Ohio, and served until his honorable discharge.
