General Notes: Husband - Denny C. Marker
He was educated in the public schools and Ligonier Academy. He worked on his father's farm until of age, and for five years thereafter as a partner. In 1896, desirous of engaging in mercantile life, he came to Ligonier and purchased a grocery store and business, which he conducted for six months, and then formed a partnership with his cousin, C. F. Marker, under the firm name of Marker and Marker. The store of Noah M. Marker, later Marker & Son, which had been destroyed by fire was rebuilt and on completion the new firm opened it as a general store, and conducted a successful business enterprise. Denny C. Marker was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ligonier, of which he was a trustee, and a member of Royal Arcanum, No. 501, of Ligonier. In politics he adhered to the Democratic faith.
