General Notes: Husband - William Alexander "Alec" McCray
He served in the Civil War.
Justice Jackson wrote under date of June 12, 1944. “……As I recall it, a sister of my grandfather's married a McCray. They lived in the vicinity of Spring Creek, and the last of the line that I knew was Alexander McCray, commonly known as Alec. He was a man of considerable ability along writing and speaking lines. In later years he became interested in the spiritualist movement and when I last saw him he stopped at our house on his way to Lilly Dale (NY), where he was to speak to the Spiritualist Assembly. I think some local publication was made of some of his writings."
