General Notes: Husband - John Eicher


His parents were natives of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, members of the Methodist Episcopal Church, the father a shoemaker by trade.

He was reared in his native county, educated in the common schools, and later learned the trade of making nails. In young manhood he removed to Pittsburgh, locating on the South Side.
He and his wife were members of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and Mr. Eicher served for six months during the latter part of the Civil War.
