General Notes: Husband - Jos. P. Clark
Civil War: He enlisted as a soldier September 12, 1861. He served to the close of the war and was honorably discharged July 1, 1865. He was credited for participating in 25 battles without getting a scratch, except a slight wound in the foot at Gettysburg, which he would say "put him behind the stone fence for a few days."
After the war he worked at the carpenter trade, but later had a truck garden of 16 acres at New Florence, Pennsylvania.
