General Notes: Husband - Hubert Asahel Lane
He graduated at the Catskill Academy, Catskill, New York, in June, 1894; and entered Yale University in the fall of the same year, being graduated from the scientific department in 1897. After this he entered the medical department, but was compelled to give up his studies on account of his health; he returned to Russell and for two years was in charge of his father's grist mill. After this he became interested in civil mining engineering, and going out to Utah in the early part of 1903 he located near Salt Lake City, remaining for about eighteen months. In the fall of 1904 he removed to Cleveland, Ohio, and the following spring went to West Virginia as superintendent and general manager for the Cleveland Coal Company. While in West Virginia he superintended the erection of a coal mining plant. In 1908 he purchased an interest in a Madison (Wisconsin) Dredging Company, continuing until his death. He resided for a time in Madison. He was at Craig, Missouri, when his health failed and he succumbed to typhoid fever.

She died from typhoid fever, a few weeks after the death of her husband.
