General Notes: Husband - Andrew Christie
He and his brother William left Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and settled in the southern part of what is now Concord Township, Butler County, about the year 1797.
He was a prominent citizen in his day. In the early 1800's he represented his district in the State Legislature, and during the war of 1812-14, he served in Capt. Story's company of Pennsylvania volunteers. He also built the second grist mill in Butler County (Neyman's, near Butler, being the first, though erected but a short time previously). He was an Elder of the Presbyterian Church for many years.
It is not clear which of his children were born to which wife.
