General Notes: Husband - William Adams

---

He was brought up at Franklin, Venango County, Pennsylvania, and in French Creek township, and began farming in 1837, in Muskingum County, Ohio, where he lived seven years. He then removed to the adjoining county of Perry, and subse-quently to Edgar County, Illinois. Returning to Venango County in 1864, he engaged in the oil business, and in 1866 purchased a farm in Mineral township. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church.
He had ten children with his first wife, three with his second wife.
It is not certain that the six children listed as surviving in 1890 were all from the first marriage.
