He was a farmer of Erie County, Pennsylvania. He served as Road Commissioner, School Director, Collector, etc., of Fairview township. He had fine farm buildings, and fifty-three acres of land a half mile from Fairview Borough. He was a Presbyterian; in politics a Republican.
