General Notes: Husband - Joseph Caldwell Love

He was a pupil in the township schools and there gained his education. Both before he had completed his studies and afterwards, he worked for his father on the latter's farm and continued thus employed until the time of his marriage. After this he rented several farms at different times which he conducted on his own account until he at length bought the old family homestead, April 6, 1900. There he resided and did much to develop and improve the condition of the place. He carried on general farming operations and raised cattle, being noted for the splendid quality of his stock.
He was a Republican in politics, and in his religious belief, was a member of the United Presbyterian church at Fairfield, and active in church work there.
