General Notes: Husband - Elias Patton


He was reared on the farm, and in the subscription schools received a practical education. At the age of twenty three he began life for himself.
After his marriage he located on the homestead where he lived for many years. He retired to private life in 1878, settling in Fort Loudon, where he resided surrounded by all the comforts of life. He and his wife were members of the Reformed Church.
Mr. Patton owned 160 acres of good land well improved and in a good
state of cultivation, and had also fine village properties.
