General Notes: Husband - Harvey Byron Cochran

He was a farmer all his life; he owned 170 acres of the old family homestead. In 1886 he built a handsome residence in Duquesne, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, where he then resided. He always took a deep interest in political matters; was identified with the democratic party, and filled various offices in his township.

He became a convert to the Roman Catholic faith, and was a devout communicant of that church throughout the remainder of his life. He donated the ground for the Holy Name Church and parochial school in Duquesne, and was always a liberal supporter of these institutions.
