General Notes: Husband - Patrick Raferty

He and his wife were natives of Ireland, who, after their marriage and the birth of their children, emigrated to America, locating in Penn township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. He was the first settler of what was known as Irishtown, and hewed the first tree and opened the first farm there. Felix Raferty and his brother were the first to locate there, after which they sent for the other members of the family.
