General Notes: Husband - Joshua Adams

He assisted his father in clearing the home farm, on which he lived until his marriage. His wife's father, upon their marriage, gave her a tract of forty-two acres, which was the nucleus of the farm later owned by their son Leander. They built a log house on this farm, and from time to time added to their possessions until they had 120 acres. [HBC 1909, 1281]
