General Notes: Husband - William Corbett
About 1790, he and his wife settled in Centre County, Pennsylvania. In 1801, his own and seven or eight other families formed a colony and moved from Centre to Armstrong County, settling in the area that later became Clarion township, Clarion County. They selected the best available lands for farming purposes, although the tract was covered with a fine growth of hardwood timber. There, in time, with the aid of his stalwart sons, he cleared a farm, prospered, and became the head of a large family.
After his marriage in 1775 they moved to Mifflin County, Pennsylvania, and later, in 1814, to that part of Armstrong County which was later included in Clarion County.
