He remained on the old family homestead in East Kishacoquillas valley, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania.
He was an active member of the East Kishacoquillas Presbyterian church.

He was born in Germany, whence, during the latter part of the eighteenth century, he came to America and took up his residence in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania, where his death occurred. [CBRCP-CCJC, 544]
