General Notes: Husband - John Carothers


He emigrated in 1870, from Scotland to the United States, settling first at Shaner Station and later removing to Port Perry, both in Pennsylvania. Subsequently he made his home in Irwin, Westmoreland County, spending the remainder of his life there. His occupation was that of a coal miner.
