General Notes: Husband - Simon Grossman
He was the miller at Elliott's mill for a time, then settled in Brady. During the war of 1812, he and his brother Benjamin served with the Pennsylvania volunteers on the Northern frontier.
He left Adams County, PA, when about eighteen years of age and went to Huntington County, where he married. He and his wife resided in Huntington County until after the birth of their two eldest children, when they moved on west to Butler County.
