General Notes: Husband - James Hanna
His first occupation was that of farming, but at the age of twenty, he served in Mercer, PA, an apprenticeship at the cabinet-making trade. After working in Mercer for some time, he returned to Franklin, and worked at his trade for three years. He then returned to the old homestead, where he remained twenty-five years. In connection with farming he worked as a carpenter. After 1869, he made his home in Franklin. He was from early manhood a member of the Presbyterian church, joining the Mill creek Presbyterian church at Utica about 1826. [HVC 1879, 487]
