General Notes: Husband - John Carmichael, Esq.
He removed in 1869 to Deer Creek township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania, where he lived during the remainder of his life; educated in common schools, he was a farmer, a member of the Methodist Church and a Democrat in politics. He held the office of Justice of the Peace for twenty-five years, and served in various township offices.
He was a soldier in the Civil War, enlisting October 7, 1862 in Co. A, 169th Pa. Inf. and was discharged at the end of the term of enlistment, July 26, 1863, with the rank of Commissary Sergeant.
