He was a man of strong mind and very decided views, and, though a farmer by occupation, he possessed a much higher appreciation of literature than did many of the same vocation. Mr. Wilson was much given to reading, and as a result possessed a large fund of general information, and kept himself well posted on all the important topics of the age.
