General Notes: Husband - William C. Stoops
He was educated in the public schools and at Prospect Academy, and graduated from the latter institution in 1892, following which, for five years, he engaged in teaching school in Franklin, Connoquenessing and Middlesex Townships. His last term in the school room was in the winter of 1894-5. In the fall of the latter year he was married and then began cultivating the home farm and resided there thereafter. On eighty acres of his land he raised corn, oats, wheat, hay and potatoes and he kept twelve cows for dairy purposes, making a high grade of butter for private customers. He was a member of Prospect Grange, Patrons of Husbandry.
